A Bachelorette Party List You Shouldn’t Leave Home Without

Whether you’re hosting the bachelorette party or were invited to one, you’ll want to keep this list of survival tips on hand.

1) Pack a few essentials

You never know when a giant headache or blister might come on, so pack these in your purse: bandages, ponytail holder, breath mints, pain reliever. Better to be safe than sorry!

2) Put down the camera

Whether or not pictures get taken depends on what kind of party it is. Do you really want that photo of the stripper grinding against you tagged on Facebook? It’s okay to snap a few pics throughout the night (tasteful, please), but don’t let it get out of hand. You’re there to have fun and enjoy time with the girls, not to be the photographer.

3) Put down the cell phone too

You know the girl who stares at her screen, needing to check Facebook while also texting her boo how much she loves him and wishes he could be there? Alternatively, you know the girl who calls her dude at midnight because she really needs to discuss that argument they had last week and ends up in a crying mess in the bedroom with the door locked? Yeah. Don’t be those girls.

4) Eat & drink (water, that is)

It’s likely the alcohol will be flowing, so don’t forget to fuel up with light snacks and agua throughout the party. The water will take care of the next-day headache and the snacks will keep you from seeing double at the end of the night.

5) Dress appropriately

Consider where the party is taking place and dress accordingly. You might even suggest matching t-shirts for the bachelorette crew (easy to spot each other, possible drinks from gentlemen). And remember to dress comfortably as well. The stilettos might be shouting your name, but you’ll be shouting something else after walking in them for six hours.

6) Have transportation

If the party is headed out for the evening and drinking is inevitable, it’s imperative that everyone have a safe way home, whether with a designated driver or taxi service. Before the bachelorette party day, create cards with several taxi numbers listed on them and hand them out to the other party guests before going out.
